How to make money on flixya.com

I am going to show you how you can make money on www.flixya.com. You’ll write articles and your ads will make the money for you. This is something I have tried and it’s not a scam. I am currently making money from this site.

Things You’ll Need:

• Time
• A google adsense account
• Sign up for a flixya.com account

Step1

www.flixya.com is a site where you write a blog or an article, upload photos and videos; basically socialize with everyone. We all do this on myspace.com, facebook.com and other sites. However, the positive thing about fixya.com is you’ll be making money from the ads placed on your profile.

Step2

You will be receiving 100% of the revenues from the clicks around your articles, blogs, photos, videos, etc. Now, come on who wouldn’t want to make some extra cash? Especially if you love writing, like I do, then you will be doing something you enjoy and most likely do often anyways for free. Except this time you’ll be getting paid for it.

Step3

Then once you sign up you will be giving a pub number, which you will use on flixya.com.

Step5

Once you have everything set up, you’ll be making money by the clicks you get to the google ads in your profile. The way to get clicks to your ads is to write articles or blogs and then promote them so that you can drive traffic to your ads. Trust me, it’s a lot easier than it sounds.

The topic of Blog RSS linking has been covered many times before from all the different aspects, talking from social aspects to technical aspects to traffic on your Blogs issues.

Here is the list of what I think the benefits of linking, by no way is this a complete list of even what I think. If you think key points are missing, put on as comments.

1. When you RSS to a Blog or a website, you recognize other person’s work
2. You become authority of something
3. When you RSS link to somebody else’s Blog and you put your own opinions and views against it, it creates more value. You can even correct that person if he is wrong in the first place.
4. You reference other person’s work if you are extracting parts from it.
5. You web the Internet more closely and this helps in your Google positioning too.
6. It creates a social connection. This is my favorite reason. For example when people link to me or I see any referrer coming, I visit his Blog which makes me aware of the existence of his Blog, it makes me realize that he is a regular reader of my Blog and I read other posts on his Blog and if they interest me, I normally tend to subscribe to those Blogs. This has two benefits, firstly my reading is increasing and secondly the readers of the other Blog are increasing too, as the chances that I will link to that Blog again in the future drastically increases.
7. URL linking helps in social networking too, I know many people now that I look forward to meeting when I go back to Thailand and the whole connection began just either because they commented on my Blog or they linked to my Blog.
8. Using services like Flixya, Google and Technorati, I know who all are talking about me when they RSS link to my Blog.
9. The other common benefits of ‘Tracked By’.
10. You really make the person you link to proud of himself and his writing.
11. You are sharing your readers with the other person creating a bigger network.
12. Linking RSS increases your web presence
13. One last this when writing comment add your Blog address, write a proper comment, don’t Just put ( +, 1 )

Top 5 Ways to Drive Traffic on Flixya

After reading the last newsletter from Flixya, I have some thoughts on how to drive traffic. I agree that the number one rule on Flixya should be Promote! Promote! Promote!
because as a Flixya member, I know this is a rare opportunity to have a platform that allows me to share my videos and photos AND be able to generate revenue. The best part is that I get to keep all the revenue from Google Adsense.I’ve had stuff on Myspace, Facebook and a lot of video sharing sites that don’t offer me anything. The best thing about Flixya is that I can cross post from YouTube and have more exposure for videos. When people upload videos to YouTube, a large majority of those videos get buried. No one sees them because they are watching the more popular stuff. I see Flixya as a really effective distribution channel.

I just recently finished up a Firefox Extension for the social video site Flixya. Extensions are all written in JavaScript and a sort of XML called XUL. Most of the framework was already written for me though, so I just hacked together the bits that worked with my code and nixed some of the old stuff.

Basically the extension grabs some relevant data like tags, the title, etc., from a video hosted on a number of online video sites like Veoh or YouTube. It then fills that text into the extension’s interface so user’s can edit or add to the provided information. Finally it posts all of the information to the user’s Flixya account where other users can view and comment on each other’s videos. The idea of using an extension like this is to streamline the video submitting process, and it works quite well.

Grabbing the text from all the various sites took a while and was the most difficult part of the process. Some sites like Veoh are coded in XHTML so they use CSS for presentation and a minimal amount of actual markup. This makes parsing a page much easier with either XPath or grabbing elements with the JavaScript getElementById() function. Other sites like LiveVideo use tables almost exclusively which makes finding a unique part of the HTML rather difficult and sometimes near impossible since the code around the desired text is so similar to other undesired text.

But the resulting extension works very well with a number of online video sites and allows easy posting to Flixya.

Most people who visit Flixya.com to view videos do not understand the purpose of people sharing videos on Flixya.com and it all has to do with participation.

When you view a video clip that someone has uploaded to Flixya.com, you’ll see Google Adsense Text Advertisements. When you click on those advertisements that you are curious about or that interest you, the person that uploaded that video earns commissions.

You come to Flixya.com or return often to view videos that others have uploaded for your enjoyment.

Many people that upload videos to Flixya.com simply give up, because you are not showing your support to the people who uploaded videos for your enjoyment and… you only need to click on those advertisement if you are curious about them or find interest in them.

You as a viewer can greatly help the people who upload videos to Flixya.com, by doing what is mentioned above and… by you sharing the video link with others that you know, such as by sending an email link of the video to all the people that you know.

This helps keep Flixya.com more interesting and it shows your support to all those people who uploaded videos to Flixya.com.

Sharing videos is the most important thing you can do to help Flixya.com and to also help those that have uploaded videos to Flixya.com.

Getting Started to work on Flixya

To get started you will first need to get a google adsense account

One of the best way to get Google Adsense account is to create a site if you already don’t have one which allows ads such as this one at googlepages.com or to blog at blogger.com which is owned by Google. Write any subject you would like to blog, then apply for your Adsense account.
How to apply

* Go to Google AdSense… Sign up for AdSense.
* Fill in the application form and confirm an email that Google will send you. If you own several sites, you need apply only once, for your own site write exact home address for example: (www.yoursite.com or yourusername.googlepages.com, or yourusername.blogger.com)
* Google evaluates your site and will follow-up with you via email within 2-3 days (usually within 24 hours). If you’re accepted, you’ll be able to log in to your AdSense account.
* Log in to your account using the email address and password that you submitted with your application, and agree to the AdSense Terms and Conditions.

Flixya.com and Adsense : Deal !!!

Flixya.com an article directory has made an agreement with google adsense in which the members who submit the articles, will be paid for the revenue their article generates through the service. Meaning that if you submitted an article, and it made $100 over a week through visitors and adsense, the flixya.com member would be able to keep the revenue. Okay so what have you done so far to promote Flixya, members and content? Just speaking for myself I found a few ways to become creative with promoting. Just as we all place links on Flixya to show our content, I made my own site and posted content from flixya with a link back to flixya and yes also to members.

Now my site is not as big as Flixya and more then likely will never be. However using my site opened a way for me to be able to promote flixya in a different way. Am I bragging? Yes, I am lol I am proud of what I accomplished in a few days. My site also has bookmarking capabilities build in so hmm my visitors might just bookmark some content also.

So what is the point of promoting? It is important to promote because it gives visibility not only to content but also to members/friends and Flixya. More promotion will pay off in the long run. The more you promote the more people will find your content. More friends is more connections… helping each other on the way sets a great atmosphere on Flixya.

Visitors and members will enjoy this and want to return, also they will help promote by talking to their friends and family. It is a great circle which will continue to grow if everyone does their share.

Creating content, posting content, keeping content clean and safe for all to enjoy. This is also important! No one benefits from content that is not family friendly! Your account will be suspended not only by Flixya but also by Google. No second chances folks, internet marketing is a sweet business make the best out of it that you possibly can.

Many people ask if you can really make money with Flixya and how much. Okay here is the story on this …you make as much as you want to make…uhm what kind of answer is that? Well post frequent, use good catching titles, good descriptions and good keywords. The rest will follow. This is a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week opportunity. Every day is a new day and every day is a new chance for making friends, posting content and promoting flixya.

Okay, I am finished with my little promotion spill here and am going to continue my day with finding articles,videos and photos. My way might not be your way and what works for me might not work for you. Of course this also goes the other way around ;0)
