How to make money on flixya.com

Posted by flixya on May 9, 2008

I am going to show you how you can make money on www.flixya.com. You’ll write articles and your ads will make the money for you. This is something I have tried and it’s not a scam. I am currently making money from this site.

By Life-is-sweet

Things You’ll Need:

  • Time
  • A google adsense account
  • Sign up for a flixya.com account

Step1

www.flixya.com is a site where you write a blog or an article, upload photos and videos; basically socialize with everyone. We all do this on myspace.com, facebook.com and other sites. However, the positive thing about fixya.com is you’ll be making money from the ads placed on your profile.

Step2

You will be receiving 100% of the revenues from the clicks around your articles, blogs, photos, videos, etc. Now, come on who wouldn’t want to make some extra cash? Especially if you love writing, like I do, then you will be doing something you enjoy and most likely do often anyways for free. Except this time you’ll be getting paid for it.

Step3

Now, the question is who pays you? Google adsense is your answer. You can sign up for a google adsense account here: http://walkaboutangel.googlepages.com/googlestuff

Step4

Then once you sign up you will be giving a pub number, which you will use on flixya.com.

Step5

Once you have everything set up, you’ll be making money by the clicks you get to the google ads in your profile. The way to get clicks to your ads is to write articles or blogs and then promote them so that you can drive traffic to your ads. Trust me, it’s a lot easier than it sounds.

Flixya Changes

Posted by flixya on April 10, 2008

Thumbs up to Flixya’s IT Department

I wish to thank all the Member of Flixya who have been loyal visitors to my Blog. Over the past month or so you have regularly visited my Blog even when navigating the Flixya site has been almost impossible?

I see Flixya is making changes to the site,The New wallpaper is flashy

It’s nice to see Flixya has tried to level the playing field so to speak with scripter’s. What’s a scripter? It’s a term for developers who make script! Some developed a script that took articles from another website (Article Dashboard) and automatically posted it to Flixya. Some of the scripts were able to post an article every 30 seconds. In the beginning there was only a few developers manipulating Flixya’s code, however like a lot of developers they needed to brag about their abilities and posted the script on Forums, some even created sites to use the script. Well then it all got a little crazy in Flixya as hundreds and hundreds of people were using the script to upload Articles & Videos to Flixya. When this occurred the Flixya site slowed to a crawl.

When members not using script tried to post to Flixya it took forever as the site was being bombarded with script up loaders.

The who’s on Flixya area on the main page was also effected too, when you clicked on a member to visit their Blog you were actually visiting a script upload member who wasn’t even at his/her computer? You were visiting a member on auto pilot!

Somehow I don’t feel script uploads are within the spirit of Flixya but thats my opinion only! What I saw was a mass upload of duplicate content. Yes I know your never going to prevent duplicate content being posted within Flixya, but when you had hundreds and hundreds of people all posting from one source (Article Dashboard) you get duplicate content on a mass level.

I see now Flixya has worked hard to overcome this issue limiting posting times and blocking many if not most of the scripter’s and suspending their accounts.

The Developers of Flixya are really on the ball as in the spirit of the sites slogan (share everything) they created an API area for developers as to enhance the site and allow them creativity. So Thumbs up for the IT department of Flixya!

So again Thank You to all the Subscribers to my Blog and Keep up the Original Posting when you can :)

Top Paying Keywords for Flixya Members

Posted by flixya on March 30, 2008

There’s tons of money to be made from the Google Adsense program for web masters and Flixya Blog owners. That’s why “the vultures are circling” and folks are getting sucked in with all sorts of offers that promise instant high Adsense revenue. One of the top-selling products these days are those lists with the highest-paying Google Adsense keywords? Many people are desperately searching out for these lists and many will not hesitate to pay for them, especially because there are some keywords that are reputed to be capable of earning up to $200.00 per click.Hey Flixya Members you don’t really need those lists, there is a better proven way to increase your Adsense earnings.

The Adsense Secret Is All About Finding A Niche

The most important Adsense secret you will discover is that to make money and be successful, all you need to do is to stick to the basic rules for success in online marketing. The basics are that you need to find a niche that is not so competitive and one which you can contribute something special to based on your past experience, knowledge and skills. Everything else will then fall into place after this. Virtually every subject and topic you can think of will have relevant and valuable keywords.

The World Wide Web is increasingly busy and increasingly competitive and what this means is that niches are becoming increasingly vital and critical to online success.

You Will Earn More From Adsense With Multiple Sites/Blogs

Once you’ve found your niche, you can create a number of different sites narrowing your niche even further in different directions. I’ve used this strategy very successfully and I find that I am constantly coming up with new ideas for new sites without leaving my area of expertise. Of course I create relevant links between my different sites so as to maximize on the traffic that I receive. The important word here is “relevant”. There is nothing that puts off folks more than clicking on a link only to find that it is barely relevant to the information they are seeking. You’re wasting their time and they will not appreciate it. Better not to link at all in the first place.

What some high-earning Adsense folks have done is to create numerous blogs (some up to 50 and even more.) This strategy makes sense because the more pages you have with Adsense ads on them, the higher the chances of somebody clicking on some of the ads and therefore the higher your potential income. What I can’t imagine is how they manage to keep all the different blogs fed with quality content. I once tried this strategy with just one or two sites and it was very exhausting getting content for sites outside my area of expertise. There are increasing reports of incidents of pirated online content and I guess you now understand part of the reason why.

When you stick to one subject, keeping all your blogs fed with content becomes a breeze. You simply take one idea and modify it or slant it differently for the different sites. Even more important, it is easy to use the same valuable Adsense keywords for all the sites as you discover them.

A Free Tool To Help You Find Valuable Adsense Keywords

Here is a valuable tool that I use myself to constantly research valuable Adsense keywords. While you do not need those valuable Adsense keywords lists, you need to constantly research valuable Adsense keywords for yourself. Top Adsense earners spend a vast majority of their time doing this. You need to do the same if you want to be earn a serious income from the Adsense program.

Let RSS & Blogging in Flixya Show you the Money!

Posted by flixya on March 28, 2008

If you have been following all the latest developments in Internet marketing you will have discovered a few things. Recent trends are proving to be very lucrative for those savvy marketers who are taking advantage of these new changes.

First, video is popping up everywhere: on websites, in sales letters, in testimonials and in training manuals. Google (reluctant beacon of all things net) is making its move on video in a big way by videotizing their ads and by snatching up You Tube for a Billion and some change.

Second, if you have placed a Blog and RSS feed on your own website, your stats will show you that Blogging is an excellent source of traffic. RSS is a simple way to get your content on the web - including your videos and pod casts. RSS and Blogging are propelling the social networks which are burning up the web and video is only adding fuel to the fire. Flixya, You Tube and My Space barely cracks the surface of the online community building fury that’s revving up the web. Social networking fulfils our need to be connected in a much unconnected world. Our need to be a part of a group is universal. RSS and Blogging are the tools that make this connection possible. We can keep in touch and connected to the groups or subjects that interest us the most. We feel a part of the group. We feel connected. We feel organized. We feel important.

Advantages of Social Networking Sites like Flixya

Social networking sites like Flixya are an excellent places to build good-will and trust among its users. They are also great places to market or pitch new products as many online marketers have discovered. One has to wonder just how the new RSS powered version of Windows (Vista) will impact social networking sites like Flixya. Will it explode the already strong interest in Blogging to make it the dominant form of communication on the web? Will RSS become the dominant means of connecting all the dots? Regardless of how all this plays out, RSS and Blogging are already an online marketer’s dream come true. Web marketers are taking full advantage of this medium within a medium, just look at the number of marketers who have started Blogs such as Neil Shearing, John Reese… Marlon Sanders has even started his own My Space site! Can you remember a recent launch of any major Internet product within the last year or so that didn’t have a Blog attached to it. From Andy Jenkins & Brad Fallon’s “Stomping the Search Engines” to Brad Callen’s “Keyword Elite” to Joel Comm’s “Instant Adsense Templates.” In a similar light, can you think of any major launch that did not have video as an important feature in its marketing? Joel Comm even used a video on You Tube to get his Google Adsense points across. Why is RSS and Blogging so important to these marketers? Why have they become essential tools no online marketer can ignore? Why are they so important? The answer is quite simple and obvious. It all relates to keywords. As you probably already know keywords are the exact words or phrases surfers type into search engines to find what they’re looking for on the web. Keyword powers the web. Keywords power much of the online marketing on the net. All this buying and selling are connected to keywords in one way or another. RSS and Blogging have an automatic keyword system built into its operating structure. It comes preloaded with the means to take full advantage of keywords and keyword marketing. The whole system is run by tags or categories. These tags or categories are recognized by the search engines as keywords. So if you use popular free blogging software like Word Press, you will have a simple way to create keyword targeted content within seconds. Targeted keyword content can also be syndicated around the web instantly. Build a whole Blog of related keyword content and you will have created a powerful online marketing system.

Marketers are taking advantage of RSS and Blogging for this reason. It is a quick and simple way of dominating a niche area and ranking high for the popular and lucrative keywords in their niche or industry. The advent of video has made these Blogs and feeds much more accessible to a larger audience or marketplace. Once these marketers have gained dominance for popular keywords in their niche, they can convert or monetize this traffic in countless ways: selling their own products, building their lists or using Google Adsense and affiliate links. For these savvy online marketers it can be a very lucrative and profitable system. RSS and Blogging have indeed shown them the money!

Flixya and Adsense

Posted by flixya on March 20, 2008

Making a Good thing Bad?

I joined Flixya quite a while ago and worked very hard uploading content to my blog? Now I see members have created scripts that will automatically upload articles and Video to their blogs.

Its content on auto pilot

I guess I could use the script too but somehow I feel its not in the spirit of Flixya.

Since these members started uploading with script I have noticed a massive decline in my adsense revenue and my blog has lost its google index with google rating too.

I not sure if Flixya allows the use of Auto Script, but from what I see they don’t seem to care? I would assume that content is content and these script uploaders are giving Flixya the page impressions required by Google in order to keep up their Google’s Adsense API?

I hope the content being upload can actually be monitored by Flixya as it would be a shame if they lost their API account due to improper postings? But then again none of us members really know the deal they struck with Google.

Its actually very sad to see the decline of relevant content in Flixya and even more sad to see the decline of members who worked hard to create their Blogs and the content within. Now it seems Flixya is turning out to be an adsense mill for new Members. They create an account (or should I say accounts as many have multiple accounts) set up the upload script and mass upload content to their Blogs. Some of them even take the time to visit other blogs and mass hit them in hopes of indexing there articles that where posted with this upload script?

With Flixya giving away 100% of the Adsense Revenue it was only a matter of time before scrpiters took advantage of the situation and are possibly ruining  it for everyone else?

When I First Joined Flxiya the content was diverse and Members posted relevant content. Now with these scripters the site is mass published with the same articles over and over again. They even seem to be uploading the same videos over and over again? No wonder my adsense is in the toilet

The creators of Flixya developed a site that was a benefit to all that joined being able to generate a little revenue for the content you published.

Now it seems like a free for all with people creating numerous accounts and then turning on the upload script in hopes of an adsense win fall?
So now its to the point of wait and see?

Maybe these scripters will tire and move on or maybe its me who should move on like many of the Most Viewed members are doing?

I state the most viewed members as these are the Flixya Members that I believe are the the ones that really (Share Everything) in the spirit of Flixya.

P.S. I wonder if this article will even be read by members as these mass uploaders are dominating the site making it very difficult for the real posters to be even seen :(

Posted by flixya on January 12, 2008

Excellent way to very easy drive hugh amout of traffic to your Adsense-enabled Flixya-video-site and lets you to earn more Adsense-money!

Squidoo is a site that allows users to create their own lenses by means of various modules. A great way to gain backlinks and increase the ranking of your videos in the search engines is to utilize Squidoo’s RSS module which will automatically aggregate from your video RSS feeds at specified intervals. This method has worked successfully with some of the top earners of the site and they have graciously offered to email us about it to share with everyone. After all the more traffic to Flixya, the more everyone on the site will benefit from.

Here is a quick example that took less than 10 minutes from start to finish
http://www.squidoo.com/bestof_youtube/

Below are the steps to boost your video traffic and Adsense earnings with Squidoo.com. Squidoo’s service is easy to use and follow so you could probably skim over most of this. We wanted to provide extra details just in case.

Step 1
go to http://www.squidoo.com/member/registration
and complete the fields
In the desired username field create a username related to what we are doing e.g. free videos, funny videos, viral videos, video money, video cash, video fun, video bookmarking, free video money, free videos, free video cash.
e.g word1-word2-word3
Then click on the Continue Button.
NOTE: after you have registered, you can do all the steps below now, or come back at a later date and update your lens as required, though I strongly suggest, you get it out of the way right now, once its done, you’ll find you have a nice automated system of generating great backlinks to your videos on www.flixya.com

Step 2.
Create a Squidoo Lens (this is like your profile)
Fill in this field “My lens is about”
use a descriptive term similar to the username you created
next page leave the option ” I want to get the word out about ” radio button checked.
(note: you can create many different Lenses from this main account)
Check your email and click on the confirmation link provided by squidoo.com
once you have clicked on this link, no go to the Make a Lens link top right of page.

Step 3.
Choose your squid link, make this the same as your title e.g funny-videos
Under the categories, choose the category that most suits your lens.
Check the Yes: My lens is family friendly and Office safe.

Step 4.
Choosing Keywords for your Videos
Preferably you would like to choose these keywords carefully, try focusing on less competitive keywords, test them in google first, try for keywords under 10,000,000 competing pages (ie. When you search for that key term see how many times it appears in top left) then enter the capture letters and click on the Done button.

Next. On the next page that appears, click on the Edit This Lens, Link.
This brings up your main lens info center, which is where you edit your lens
Start editing your bio, lens with images will do much better, add your photo and then edit your bio describing the purpose of this lens.

Now the GREAT part!
By Adding your user RSS video feed from Flixya.com, Squidoo will update the RSS feeds containing your Video links and descriptions at the time interval you set, this means, every time you add a bunch of videos to your Flixya account, these will gain backlinks automatically via this website. This is one of the Great Features of having your own Squidoo site. FREE backlinks and more traffic to your videos.
Next click on the RSS Add your own feeds Edit Button

In the Rss module, complete the fields as described here.
Give your Module a Title
Use the same as your Lens title

Give your module a sub title
Here expand on your above title using words similar to the title though not the same.

What URL would you like to pull RSS from?
here you enter your Members rss feed, example: http://www.flixya.com/video/new/user/rampante/feed replace rampante with your username.

How many headlines would you like to show?
= 15

Would you like to include an exerpt from each link in the feed?
Choose, everything available.

How frequently should the module be updated?
= 6 hours.

Would you like to display html in the Exerpt?
= YES

Then click on Save. Then Publish.

Now the absolute best thing is you can add as many RSS feed modules as you like, to get even more back links. The more the merrier! Once again Happy New Years!

Cheers,

Rampante

Flixya and Money

Posted by flixya on December 27, 2007

Flixya.com is another website that will pay users to upload videos. The payment method works similar to most other paid-to-upload sites; they split the advertising with you. So, the more popular your videos are, the greater potential you have to earn money. Your submissions to Flixya are nonexclusive, as well, so you can post the same videos on YouTube, Associated Content, VuMe, and Metacafe.

Before you get started, you are going to need to open a Google Adsense account. Flixya pays you by rotating your Adsense publisher ID with their’s 50/50. Half the times ads are displayed on your page, you earn the revenue. I am going to assume that everyone already know what Adsense is and how to sign up for an account, but just incase you don’t, I will briefly explain it. It’s really simple, just go to the Google Adsense website and follow the instructions for creating a publisher account. Google will ask you to submit a URL for the site you will be displaying ads on, just use your Flixya URL.

The next step, of course, is to start uploading videos. One of the great things about Flixya, is that you don’t have to submit original content. You can use any video from sites like YouTube and MySpace. A lot of other sites that pay for videos require that you only submit original content, which makes it difficult to not only submit a large quantity of videos, but to also ensure your videos will be popular. The fact that Flixya allows you to share any video makes it easy to contribute content that will be well liked and get lots of views.

The site has a pretty decent amount of built in traffic, but some self promotion will definitely be in order if you want to make any real money. I highly recommend posting your video links in MySpace bulletins, blogs, and forums. Remember, the only way to earn money is by having your video viewed from your Flixya page because that’s where the ads are displayed. If you simple embed the video, you won’t earn any money, so make sure you are posting hyper links.
